By the grace of God, all of your prayers, and the strong spirit of Faith, she is almost at 75% of her pre-accident function. At the moment Faith seems to see but has large blind spots, particularly at knee level. However, her neurological opthamologist appointment went well and the doctor said with proper rehabilitation she could regain her full sight.
Faith is moving pretty well around the house these days. She struggles with coordination and has the bruises to show it, but she rarely shows frustration. Her desire to be independent is always present. She is now able to bend down and stand up on her own, something she could not do just one week ago.

Faith: Without doubt or question.
On May 9, 2008, while traveling with her family in Florida, Faith Morelli struggled to swallow a piece of pizza. Her trachea collapsed and she was unable to breathe. Her father, Peter, performed CPR until the paramedics arrived. Because Faith’s airway was closed her brain was deprived of oxygen for a period of time. She is now fighting to overcome resulting injuries.
We invite Faith’s friends and family to visit this blog for updates on Faith’s condition. The outpouring of support we have received has been overwhelming. We are grateful for your love and prayers, which combined with our deepest hope for her recovery, have helped sustain us.

Dear Morelli Family, I continue to keep Faith and the rest of the Banana Bread Gang in my thoughts and prayers. My two children always ask how Faith is doing and I bring them over to the computer to read the entries found on these pages. We are all very happy to hear Faith is getting stronger everyday and we look forward to more good.
I recently saw a small poster in a colleague’s office that had the following and it reminded me of that miracle girl named Faith.
